Develop and implement a Regional Trade Marketing and Distribution Plan in line with brand strategy and the needs of trade which meets the objectives of the National Trade Marketing and Distribution plan.
Manage and monitor Accounts Receivables and cash collection process in the region through effective control mechanisms.
Foster and ensure an environment and culture where BAT guiding principles are understood and visibly implemented.
Manage and monitor effective use of regional budgets and ensure all transactions are in line with company policies.
Develop and lead an efficient and effective regional trade marketing and distribution team through on-the-job training, motivation and staff development in order that trade marketing and distribution representation is superior to the competition and to other FMCG companies.
Manage key regional trade customers through the development and implementation of account strategies and plans through regular communication with the account team to maximize volume and share performance.
Develop and maintain effective business and working relationships with trade customers through planned trade coverage to maximize volume, share performance, support and loyalty.
Ensure effective distribution of company brands within the region to ensure the maximization of availability and minimization of out of stock in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market by trade channel and outlet type.
Effective implementation of national cycle plans and trade programs with optimum use of resources and materials throughout the region by gaining the active support of the trade.
Achieving highest in-store visibility and sales performance for the key strategic brands throughout the region by gaining active support of the trade.
Ensure efficient use of Retail Classification System information for trade coverage by trade marketing and distribution representatives and for implementation of Regional Trade Marketing and Distribution plans for business development.
Support the development of the Distributors and Wholesalers to meet the Company’s key objectives through imparting international quality training program and development of business processes.
Keep area managers, trade marketing representatives and distribution field force fully informed at all times of objectives, progress and future action plans in order that effective planning and in-market activities can be implemented.
Provide trade marketing and distribution information and reports on performance and accounts to ensure that the Head of trade, Business Development Manager and the brand marketing team are fully always informed.
Manage the financial accounts, assets and regional trade marketing and distribution budget for the region to ensure that resources are secured and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
Implement, pioneer and customize BAT recommended TM&D best practice tools and policies within the region to enhance people development and operational execution.
Requirements
At least four years of experience in a similar position in a reputable and progressive FMCG company
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Extensive knowledge about distribution
Proven experience in managing/leading people
Effective communication skills in both English and French
Effective negotiation skills
Effective influencing skills
Effective planning skills
Good leadership and coaching skills
Sound IT skills (Windows, Excel, and Power Point etc.)
In regular situation with military service.
