About this role

Design, develop, and maintain custom Onshape features in FeatureScript that run in production and hold up to daily use.
Augment Onshape workflows by building out tooling and integrating with systems outside of Onshape via Onshape APIs.
Expanding the capabilities and uses (skills) of our modeling MCP built on top of Onshape APIs
Work with the design engineering team to find repeated manual work, prototype a solution, and get it into their daily workflow.
Build automation that integrates MEP constraints and augments device and fixture placement.
Build automated code-compliance checking, e.g. outlet placement, egress, tempered windows requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to raise efficiency and throughput across design and manufacturing.

BS in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of general software engineering experience, ideally in Go, Python, C#, including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting, debugging and root cause analysis.
Hands-on experience with parametric design (Onshape, Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks, etc.) and building custom features/plugins/extensions in that platform. Experience outside of work is great!
Experience using coding agents to build prototypes, work with others, and get to a solution quickly. A 0-to-1 builder.
