Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of comprehensive software testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, security, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites supporting web applications, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
Create and maintain detailed manual test cases and test procedures for scenarios that require manual validation.
Develop reusable automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and release quality.
Manage the complete software defect lifecycle, including defect identification, documentation, prioritization, verification, and closure in collaboration with development teams.
Provide regular testing status updates, metrics, and quality reports to the Government Test Manager and program leadership.
Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities by producing required testing evidence, security validation documentation, and accreditation artifacts.
Validate software compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), ensuring zero accessibility defects through automated and manual testing.
Verify software security scan results and ensure new vulnerabilities are remediated or properly documented, including validation of false positives.
Collaborate with Agile development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality objectives for each sprint.
Participate in peer reviews, sprint planning, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote quality engineering best practices, test automation, and continuous testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering within DoD, federal, or large enterprise environments.
Experience leading both manual and automated software testing efforts.
Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, REST Assured, or equivalent testing tools.
Experience with API testing, database testing, and test automation development.
Experience managing software defect tracking and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) testing evidence requirements and security assessment reporting.
Experience using accessibility testing tools and validating compliance with WCAG standards.
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
