Role Overview
- Underwriting and growing the Financial Institutions book of business profitably
- Establishing, developing, and expanding broker and customer relationships
- Assessing, proposing, and negotiating insurance conditions for large and midsize projects
- Working closely with clients and brokers in Madrid
- Assessing risks, coverage, terms, and conditions
- Developing the Underwriting strategy, guidelines, standards, processes and tools
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Underwriting function
- Understanding of the regional insurance market
- Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration
- Proactive approach to identifying business opportunities
- Fluency in Spanish
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Italian is a plus
- The legal right to live and work in Spain
