Java Developer

Role Overview

• Work as a Java Developer to contribute in various streams of implementation in Insurance projects:
• Assist in the development and implementation of Java applications for Insurance projects.
• Collaborate with team members to support project objectives.
• Help analyze requirements and contribute to the design process.
• Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software applications.
• Learn from and support senior team members in technical tasks.
• Java Consulting implementation projects with a focus on developing new solutions and expanding system functionalities within the scope of R&D activities.
• Cooperating with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new Java technologies/solutions that may enhance the efficiency of business processes.
• Reporting the progress of R&D projects and documenting the results of implementations, as well as post-implementation review.
• Designing, testing, and implementing new Java solutions/modules – conducting workshops, pilots, proof-of-concept initiatives, and deploying new or improved system features.
• Gain hands-on exposure to EIS through internal training paths and on-the-job learning, progressively contributing to EIS-related configuration, integration, and extension tasks.
• Support senior EIS specialists in developing platform integrations and backend logic, enabling transition toward EIS specialization over time.
• Participate in the cross-skilling journey toward Guidewire technologies, expanding competencies in insurance domain platforms and enterprise-grade architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Science, other Technical qualification
• 3+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar position
• Understanding of Java and related frameworks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Interest in the Insurance or Banking sector.
• Familiarity with Insurance core platforms is a plus.
• Relevant coursework or certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies is advantageous.
