Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
Lead weekly client meetings and prepare agendas, meeting notes, and action items.
Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to add strategic value.
Ensure exceptional client service across all deliverables.
Monitor emerging issues affecting beef, dairy, agriculture, food systems, sustainability, nutrition, and public policy.
Conduct research to support strategic recommendations and campaign development.
Summarize complex information into concise client-ready insights.
Identify trends in consumer behavior, media, nutrition, agriculture, and food production.
Conduct daily media monitoring across traditional, trade, digital, and social channels.
Identify emerging issues, opportunities, and potential reputational risks.
Assist with crisis monitoring and rapid-response communications when needed.
Track campaign performance and earned media results.
Support execution of integrated communications programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications, Agricultural Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in an agency, agricultural organization, commodity board, association, or corporate communications role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Experience leading client meetings.
Strong presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Experience with one or more of the following: Beef Checkoff, Dairy Checkoff, State beef councils, Dairy promotion organizations, Agricultural associations, Livestock production, Producer communications, Food and nutrition communications, Sustainability communications, Media relations, Social media management, Meltwater, Cision, or similar media monitoring platforms, AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini).
