Senior Sales and Applications Engineer – Rock Processing

Role Overview

• Conduct technical site visits to customers in the construction and mining sectors, identifying business opportunities, mapping customer needs and recording alternatives for subsequent application feasibility studies, working jointly with Account Managers;
• Prepare technical-commercial proposals and visit reports, allocating all technical and material resources and their specifications to meet customer requirements. Coordinate with Inside Sales, Engineering, Parts and Services to obtain pricing and margins according to Sandvik standards for presentation to customers;
• Ensure commercial opportunities are entered into the appropriate system (CRM);
• Liaise with area management when special commercial conditions are required, considering customer profile, added value, business risks, loyalty actions, etc., to support decision-making on whether to close orders/contracts;
• Act as the customer's focal point for pre
• and post-sales activities, receiving and/or prospecting requests related to wear parts, potential machine stoppages, low performance, and treatment of critical points; propose product tests and prepare detailed performance and ROI reports to enable new sales;
• Work with management to identify updates and innovations in the product line — such as new applications, features, customizations and process improvements that enhance equipment performance and service life — including Screening Media, Wear Protection and Wear Parts; pursue training to deliver technical presentations to customers and to prospect new business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mining, Mechanical or Materials Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with screening equipment in mining;
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and basic Power BI;
• Intermediate English and Spanish;
• Valid category B driver's license and availability for frequent travel.
