Provides day-to-day operational accounting support for the Department of Pediatrics research operation
Review requisitions routed by labs for processing
Generate purchase orders for equipment, etc.
Contact vendors to adjust, obtain or process contracts and invoices as necessary
Initiate/review for approval all purchasing transactions eligible for blanket order processing
Process and track all invoices related to blanket orders
Process travel advances and check requests for travel
Review reimbursement requests for appropriate university funding allocation & budget coding
Enter requisitions into the Marketplace purchasing system and monitor purchasing processes as requested
Ensure transactions have supporting documentation and principal investigator or designee approval
Monitor account balances, maintain open encumbrances, process journals and budget adjustments
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
2 years of experience in Accounting
No specific certification/professional license required for this position
