Role Overview
- Provide patient support and communication for an exceptional patient experience
- Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered
- Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings
- Authorize prescription refills as directed
- Prepare patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations
- Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens
- Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment
- High School Diploma/Equivalency required
- Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred
