Coordinates and manages all resources necessary for the clinical staffing services staff to provide care
Maintains an optimal level of productivity based on the coordination of efficient staffing and scheduling patterns and labor management standards 24 hours a day/7 days a week
Responsible for effectively managing resources through systems management, carefully coordinating system issues to assure optimal patient care
Evaluates the quality of patient care provided by all clinical staffing services staff by using the Standards of Practice and patient outcomes
Responsible to ensure that appropriate resources are available for Performance Improvement initiatives in clinical staffing services
Maintains unit/department in compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation, and other regulatory bodies
Maintains and promotes effective relationships with and between patients, families, department staff, other hospital departments, medical staff and their support staff, nursing instructors, other health care facilities and vendors
Participates in problem resolution as needed
Acts as a liaison between medical and nursing staff
Facilitates research-based nursing by creating an environment that encourages the utilization of research in practice; uses research in decision-making to maintain quality, cost and customer service; and assures the integration of research in congruence with departmental, organizational, regional and system strategic goals
Makes recommendations for changes in nursing practice to shared governance councils and promotes new approaches and concepts
Assists other departments in developing new services, identifying potential new sources of revenue and marketing of existing and new programs
Facilitates the integration of Aurora and Nursing divisional goals into the clinical staffing services goals
Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale
Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives
Requirements
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Typically requires 5 years of experience in nursing
Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in staff and budgets
Strong aptitude in human resource management
Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously
Sound decision-making and communication skills
Current in use of computers, software, and other electronic systems
