Role Overview
- Help design and build our service from the ground up
- Work independently on big tasks
- Understand customer needs well
- Collaborate with coworkers on projects
- Report directly to an experienced CTO
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience at 2-3+ tech-focused companies
- Expert knowledge of React/TypeScript
- Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Solid grasp of UX design fundamentals and the ability to translate an idea into reasonable basic UI
- The more experience with any/all of these, the better:
- GraphQL
- Chakra or another UI component toolkit
- React Native
- Solid knowledge of HTTP protocol
- Even more UX design skills than mentioned above
- Writing GraphQL resolvers on the backend
- MongoDB
- AWS Cognito/Lambda/DocumentDB/API Gateway/CloudFormation
- Writing good technical documentation
- Working knowledge of managed cloud-service software development, esp. AWS
- Working knowledge of building software in containerized deployments, with full CI/CD
- A passion for leading and mentoring engineers
- A desire to work directly with customers (winemaker customer visits are pretty great)
