MapLarge is a rapidly growing software platform that enables federal governments and Fortune 1000 enterprises to develop and deploy mission-critical applications. They are seeking a Senior Android Mobile Software Engineer to design and build complex mobile and web applications for the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) that integrates with their platform.
Responsibilities:
- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code for mobile, ATAK and web
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features
- Participate in code reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- Experience building applications with ATAK, or the Android Team Awareness Kit
- Android mobile application experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Authorized to work in the United States and no visa sponsorship required
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to align technical vision with business and mission objectives
- Experience architecting systems for real-time data, high-performance visualization, and/or distributed computing
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience building desktop applications with Avalonia
- Deep expertise in full-stack application development: C# (.NET Core), JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with containerized deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, reusability, and user-centric workflows in enterprise environments
