Square is a company that has evolved to provide integrated financial solutions for sellers of all sizes. The Debit Card and Transfers Product Manager will lead the development of features for card management and money movement, ensuring that Square Checking meets the needs of merchants and captures a larger share of their spending.
Responsibilities:
- Define the key objectives for your products (growth of MAUs, ticket size, spend volume, etc)
- Define the product strategy and prioritize and deliver a roadmap to achieve your outcomes. Ship features in card management, spend management, disputes and internal tooling to support card and transfers growth
- Collaborate with the Square Credit Card team to build card and spend management primitives that are consistent and common across Square
- Deeply understand your product performance, paying careful attention to the product funnel and cohorted usage behaviors. Have the curiosity and fluency to self-serve answers in data
- Understand and manage the unit economics and the financial performance of your products
- Work closely with risk, compliance, legal, card networks, partner banks, Block’s financial operations and financial platform teams to build and operate your products
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech or payments
- Curiosity, empathy and an irresistible urge to go talk to Square's customers to hear firsthand what they need from us
- Impeccable product intuition combined with high numeracy and a bias to data-driven action so you can quickly make product and prioritization decisions to improve your business
- A demonstrable track record building strategies and executing on a roadmap to grow product adoption and usage
- Standout cross-functional collaboration, especially with design and engineering. You build and maintain trust, generate excitement and buy-in for your strategies, and deliver on your promises
- You can inspire people through your clear written and verbal communication
- An understanding of payments rails, card networks, risk, and fraud is a bonus
