Responsibilities:
- Developing operational concepts and use cases
- Researching emerging technologies and state of the art practices
- Researching the application of AI/ML for future concepts
- Designing analyses, modeling, and simulations
- Evaluating the application and trade-offs of various technologies
- Contributing recommendations based on recent advances, best practices, and gaps to implement modern systems and technologies that advance the future of aviation while continuing to ensure its safety and security
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field
- 2 years of experience for Senior Research Specialist
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field for Associate Research Analyst
- 0 - 2 years of experience for Associate Research Analyst
- Master's or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field for Research Analyst
- 2 – 5 years of experience with Master's, 0 years with PhD for Research Analyst
- Master's or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field for Research Scientist
- 5 – 10 years of experience for Research Scientist
- Master's or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field for Senior Research Scientist
- 10 – 14 years of experience for Senior Research Scientist
- Master's or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field for Principal Research Scientist
- 15+ years of experience for Principal Research Scientist
- Past experience in the FAA and aviation domain
