Confidential is an early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionize ERP-native B2B payments. They are seeking a Junior Product Manager to work on the core payments engine, focusing on product development and commercial strategy for domestic and cross-border money movement.
Responsibilities:
- Write detailed PRDs, user stories & acceptance criteria for payments and FX flows, capturing E2E money movement flows: initiation, authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exceptions
- Translate bank specs, rail rules, and FX partner APIs into product logic
- Support design and improvement of the full payment lifecycle
- Help manage cut-offs, settlement windows, and reconciliation formats
- Coordinate sandbox testing, UAT, and certification with banks and partners
- Embed KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and approval controls into all payment flows
- Maintain product documentation that explains payment capabilities / limits / SLAs, including payment flow diagrams, API behavior notes, and bank-specific limitations
- Define KPIs to evaluate metrics such as success rates, settlement TAT, FX margin, return rates
- Support root-cause analysis of payment failures and transform learnings in product reliability and scalability improvement
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in product, fintech, payments, banking or technical product roles
- Comfortable reading and creating API documentation, sequence diagrams, and data schemas
- High attention to detail and ability to think through edge cases
- Exposure to B2B payment flows via stablecoin transfers, ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, RTP, or FX platforms
- Experience with AP flows and ERP integrations
- Familiarity with reconciliation, ledgering and financial reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort moving fast and learning on the job
- Good judgment, curiosity, and attention to detail
