Senior Software Engineer, Product

Calqulate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Product to join their team and shape the core product while elevating UI/UX and defining frontend architecture. The role involves collaborating closely with founders and design teams to build high-quality frontend features and improve the overall codebase.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with founders to expand and refine the core product
• Collaborate with design to ship polished, high-quality UI/UX
• Build complex frontend features using React and modern web technologies
• Implement thoughtful interactions, animations, and micro-interactions in code
• Improve frontend architecture and codebase health using current best practices
• Help define a technical roadmap that translates customer needs into product improvements
• Contribute to hiring and help raise the bar for frontend quality across the team

Requirements:

• Proficient in Web development, TypeScript, React.js, JavaScript, Figma
• +4 years experience in Front-end development
• English - Fully fluent
• 4+ years of experience in frontend or product-focused engineering
• Deep expertise with React; experience with Next.js and/or Vite is a plus
• Strong command of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Close attention to detail and pride in building polished user experiences
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Interest in AI systems, developer tools, or highly technical products
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
