Senior Golang Engineer

Mission.dev is a platform for hiring, vetting and managing software development talents. They are seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to support the development and modernization of critical healthcare systems, focusing on backend services in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang in a production environment
• Write, optimize, and debug complex MS SQL Server components, including T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions
• Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems using Golang and MS SQL
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, supporting best practices and consistent delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet quality, security, and compliance standards
• Adapt to changing requirements and priorities within a regulated healthcare setting

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing applications in Golang
• 3+ years of strong experience with MS SQL Server, including advanced T-SQL development and troubleshooting
• Proven experience integrating systems and building data connections using Golang and MS SQL
• Demonstrated experience guiding or leading engineering teams
• Flexible, adaptive, and comfortable working in complex, regulated environments
• Must be based in the U.S. This position requires U.S. work authorization; only U.S. citizens or permanent residents will be considered
• Experience with Java, particularly in enterprise or legacy systems
• Exposure to AI-enabled solutions or data-driven systems
• UI or frontend development experience
