Assistant Director, Data Products-Data Management and Solutions

Liberty Mutual Insurance is a company focused on leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence. They are seeking an Assistant Director for Data Products to manage and develop data products that meet stakeholder needs and deliver enterprise-wide impact.

Responsibilities:

• Articulate and translate the strategic vision into the development and ongoing management of data products
• Engage proactively with talent and enterprise stakeholders to identify gaps where formalized data products are needed
• Lead the creation of the design, acceptable use cases, KPIs, quality measures, access patterns, and comprehensive implementation plans
• Maintain close alignment with evolving stakeholder needs, continuously intake feedback, and own the product feature roadmap
• Collaborate closely with various data personas—including stewards, strategy, solutions, business partners, and technology teams
• Provide guidance to colleagues and partner effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure data products align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value to customers and the business

Requirements:

• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• 5-7+ years of experience working in coding and data solutions design principles, particularly in open source tools and technology
• Experience in communicating recommendations to senior business leaders preferred
• BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred
• MBA or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred
