About this role
Plan B Climatech is a growing, full-service MEP consulting firm specializing in a wide range of building projects across the United States. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design efforts and project management for various projects, including government, education, and healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Help manage MEP design projects including coordination between disciplines
- Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code
- Engineering evaluations and studies
- Construction cost estimating
- Design QC review
- Mentoring/training of junior engineering staff
- Qualifications for engineering services
- Proposal building for engineering services, including fee proposals
- Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements)
- Make sure you are responding to requests and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Accredited electrical engineering degree
- Minimum 3-10 years experience within the MEP consulting industry
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD; SKM and/or ETAP a plus
- Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical design fundamentals
- Ability to interpret construction documents and develop detailed electrical designs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- EIT or (PE) Professional Engineering license preferred
