Cloud Systems Engineer - Master-Level

AIS is a mission-driven company focused on making a difference through impactful projects. They are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer - Master-Level to support architecture and infrastructure services for a new Leidos account, ensuring the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
• Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
• Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
• Engineer and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure to meet performance and availability objectives
• Create monitoring/alerting and operational runbooks to improve system health and response time

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 15+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments
• Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications
• Able to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance; active Secret preferred
• Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices
• Active Secret clearance (or higher)
• Massachusetts-based candidate or ability to support periodic on-site needs at Leidos sites in Concord or Tewksbury, MA
• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
