They are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer - Master-Level to support architecture and infrastructure services for a new Leidos account, ensuring the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems.
Responsibilities:
- Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
- Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
- Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
- Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
- Engineer and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure to meet performance and availability objectives
- Create monitoring/alerting and operational runbooks to improve system health and response time
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments
- Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications
- Able to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance; active Secret preferred
- Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices
- Active Secret clearance (or higher)
- Massachusetts-based candidate or ability to support periodic on-site needs at Leidos sites in Concord or Tewksbury, MA
- Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
