Openforce is experiencing unprecedented growth, accelerated by the pandemic, as we empower independent contractors and gig workers to facilitate our clients’ success in the gig economy. In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining monitoring solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog; own and continuously improve system health and performance metrics
- Design, implement, and optimize automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.) to improve reliability and modernize legacy applications
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (Docker, ECS, EKS) and support CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams and third-party infrastructure partners to address escalations, ensure reliability, and improve system performance
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, automation, and QA
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or related role, including 3+ years of application support experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Advanced expertise in monitoring and observability, particularly with Datadog
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.), with experience optimizing and modernizing backend systems
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Solid background in application performance monitoring, analysis, and tuning
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar
