Columbia Forest Products is seeking a Project Management Intern to support their Project Management Office. The intern will assist in project coordination, documentation, reporting, and governance activities, gaining hands-on experience in PMO operations and project lifecycle activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing project plans, including scope, milestones, scheduling, and resource tracking
- Update project management tools with current task status, risks, and issues
- Help draft project documentation such as meeting minutes, project logs, status reports, and action-item lists
- Support the scheduling and organization of project meetings
- Prepare agendas, document discussion points, and distribute follow‑up notes
- Assist in gathering requirements and feedback from stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and log project risks and issues
- Support development, tracking, and communication of mitigation plans
- Help track dependencies and cross‑project impacts within the IT portfolio
- Assist with PMO reporting, portfolio dashboards, and metric tracking
- Help ensure alignment with PMO frameworks, governance standards, and documentation best practices
- Collaborate with PMO staff to identify process improvements and enhance project delivery tools
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Technology Management, or related field
