The role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver design-to-code systems while ensuring consistency and accessibility across their mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition, design, and documentation of reusable iOS-focused design system components, patterns, and guidelines
- Collaborate with product designers to ensure consistency across features and platforms while meeting platform-specific needs
- Partner with engineering to build, test, and deliver robust design system components
- Drive adoption of the design system through education, governance, and advocacy across cross-functional teams
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity standards are embedded within system components and workflows
- Contribute to the design system roadmap, identifying opportunities for scalability, efficiency, and innovation
- Participate in design reviews, audits, and QA to ensure consistency and fidelity in implementation
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in product design with a strong focus on mobile-first consumer applications
- Deep expertise in iOS design language (Human Interface Guidelines, UIKit, SwiftUI patterns) and familiarity with Android conventions
- Proven experience designing, scaling, and maintaining design systems or component libraries
- Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, tokens-based workflows, documentation platforms like Storybook/Zeroheight)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional partners (engineering, product, brand)
- Demonstrated ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility in system-level decisions
- Strong portfolio showcasing iOS product design and design system work
- Experience working on high-scale mobile products with large user bases
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Knowledge of design-to-code handoff pipelines and design tokens
- Experience mentoring designers or contributing to design culture
- Interest or background in visual asset systems (iconography, motion, or illustration)
