The Data Engineer will collaborate with senior data engineers to develop and deploy data solutions that meet client needs, while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end code in a Microsoft SQL server environment
- Develop solutions to move data between SQL Server and Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Develop solutions using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SQL Server, stored procedures and APIs
- Use Requirements gathering, research to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs
- Assist in documentation of current processes and development of documentation for new processes along with other methods of knowledge sharing
- Ensuring data accuracy, performance, usability, and functionality requirements of the ETL platform
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including solution design, development, code review, source code control, testing, deployment
- Prioritize attention to detail and accountability to meet critical deadlines
- Flexibility in schedule based on business need. While night and weekend work is generally not required, critical deliverables must go out on time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience analyzing data and presenting information to stakeholders
- Experience with programming or SQL or BI Platform
- Must be a US Person
- Active Public Trust clearance
- Experience using Azure
- Experience using Azure Data Factory
- Experience with ETL/ELT
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with advanced Microsoft SQL Server programming of functions, triggers, and stored procedures
- Knowledge of SSIS, stored procedures and APIs
- Experience with GitHub
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in communications and documentation
