Labcorp is a digital health platform dedicated to improving health outcomes across various stages of life. The Infrastructure Engineer will support the design, deployment, and operation of Ovia Health’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the deployment, management, and day-to-day operations of Ovia Health’s scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions primarily within AWS
- Implement and uphold security best practices across the AWS environment, with a strong focus on healthcare compliance and data protection
- Develop and maintain automation and tooling using Python, Bash, and other scripting languages
- Work closely with application engineers to support the full software development lifecycle, from design through production operations
- Participate in code reviews and infrastructure reviews, contributing feedback that improves code quality, reliability, and shared team knowledge
- Contribute to infrastructure design discussions and technical decisions that align with engineering, product, and company goals
- Troubleshoot and debug infrastructure and application-level issues, including during incident and on-call scenarios
- Communicate clearly and transparently about ongoing work, priorities, and risks throughout all phases of development
- Produce stable, well-documented, and maintainable infrastructure and automation that adheres to platform standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2–4 years of progressive professional experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related role
- Strong proficiency with Linux systems, Bash, and scripting (Python preferred)
- Hands-on experience operating and supporting production systems in AWS
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code, system reliability, and cloud security fundamentals
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure or incident situations
- Strong working knowledge of AWS core services, including compute, networking, monitoring, and identity (e.g., EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (e.g., CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with containerized and orchestrated workloads (ECS and/or EKS)
- Experience supporting managed data services (e.g., RDS) and serverless workloads (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway)
- Working knowledge of AWS security best practices, including secrets management, certificate management, and security monitoring
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins)
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across distributed systems
- Experience working in a healthcare, regulated, or compliance-driven environment
- Experience with containerized platforms and Kubernetes-based systems
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA)
- Prior experience supporting high-availability, customer-facing production systems
