About this role
RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to be a key technical member of the Fleet System Engineering team. This role involves interfacing with various engineering disciplines and managing complex technical issues while supporting the fleet operating BWRs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform EPU evaluation for various NSSS systems
- Work with a team of Engineers to support general system evaluations and other systems related emergency requests
- Lead and conduct calculations, design analyses, evaluations, and verifications for various BWR safety and non-safety system functions
- Apply engineering knowledge and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex design problems and application issues
Requirements:
- MUST be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related area from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Nuclear Plant Safety Systems and Components
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with multi-disciplined Engineering or Operations
- In-depth knowledge of BWR reactor major NSSS systems (such as CRD, Recirculation, ECCS, RWCU, SLC, Main Steam -MSIVs and SRVS, HPCI, RCIC, HPCS) and their operation
- Familiarity of setpoint calculation standards and regulations such as: ISA 67.04.01 and RG 1.105
- Proven technical skills within project management environment
- Proven oral / written communication and teamwork skills
- Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Systems experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform while challenged by multiple demands and changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including customer interface experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including a minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead or lead contributor on major projects
- Knowledge of BWR nuclear plant systems and analyses techniques, commercial plant outages, and nuclear industry practices
- Experience with design, evaluation, and operation of nuclear power plant components, primarily BWRs
