Senior Software Engineer

Strategic Employment Partners (SEP) is a high-growth tech company focused on modernizing a large, legacy industry. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable services for their eCommerce ads platform, collaborating closely with product and data partners to enhance user experience and drive revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver secure, scalable services and polished advertiser and shopper experiences, with an emphasis on low latency, reliability, and measurable outcomes
• Collaborate closely with product and data partners to ship features that improve relevance, ROI, and user experience
• Contribute to a culture that values pragmatic design, testing discipline, and well-run releases

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or 4–5 years of relevant software development experience
• 3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in agile environments
• Hands-on experience with modern languages and web/service frameworks (e.g., Java, PHP, JavaScript/React, Python, GraphQL, SQL/MySQL)
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and strong DevOps fundamentals: CI/CD, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring/observability
• Clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Adtech or eCommerce product development, such as ad serving, campaign tools, targeting and ranking, attribution, and reporting
• Distributed systems design focused on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Data pipelines and event-driven architectures supporting real-time decisions and analytics
• Experimentation platforms (A/B testing), metrics instrumentation, and performance tuning
