Staff Software Engineer

CertifID is a company dedicated to combating cybercrime in the real estate sector by providing a secure platform for verifying identities and detecting fraud. They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to architect and build scalable software systems that analyze signals in real time to enhance their fraud prevention software.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience as a staff-level software engineer in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
• Experience in leading teams of other engineers to build a long-term technical vision and plans to achieve it
• Strong system programming skills in highly fault tolerant, high-volume transaction processing systems for critical applications
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Problem-Solving: A track record of simplifying complex systems, resolving technical debt, and making pragmatic trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a staff-level software engineer in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
• Engineering experience of 8+ years
• Experience in leading teams of other engineers to build a long-term technical vision and plans to achieve it
• Strong system programming skills in highly fault tolerant, high-volume transaction processing systems for critical applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A track record of simplifying complex systems, resolving technical debt, and making pragmatic trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality
• Experience in fintech, cybersecurity, or fraud prevention
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA)
• Contributions to open-source data tools or communities
