National Research Group is a leading global insights and strategy firm specializing in content, culture, and technology. They are seeking a Research Analyst or Senior Analyst to focus on TV series content testing and development, partnering with major TV brands to optimize their content based on audience insights.
Responsibilities:
- Support quantitative and qualitative research projects focused on TV series content, including but not limited to pilots and multi episodes/binge testing
- Manage the end-to-end process of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including proposal support, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis and storytelling
- Translate research data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative and story-driven reports
- Partner with internal and external operations teams (programming, fieldwork, facilities, moderators, data processing) to drive projects forward on stringent timelines
- Build relationships through effectively managing day-to-day client interaction and supporting the resolution of client issues and concerns
- Drive successful project execution, collaborating with senior team members and providing input and support to junior team members on quality control processes at each step of the research lifecycle, from checking survey programming logic, questionnaire proofing, number checking and proofing reports and presentations for accuracy
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of experience working in consumer insights, consumer research or in a strategy role
- B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics or a related field
- In-depth understanding and experience with a range of complex qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Strong foundation in custom research, including survey writing, data tab review, quality control, and analytical rigor
- Ability to adapt, think critically, and solve problems
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to craft compelling narratives from complex data
- Self-starter who is internally motivated
- Flexible and resilient, comfortable adapting to the fast pace of entertainment research
- Experience nurturing and building relationships with clients
- Expert at working with data to identify trends and insights
- Advanced data visualization skills using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs and Slides
- Curiosity and critical thinking
- Expert multitasker who successfully manages time and multiple competing priorities
- Hawk-eyed attention to detail
- Great team member who is able to work collaboratively and harmoniously within a team
- Strong focus on entertainment is preferred, huge plus if it's in content testing
- Additional degrees are welcome!
- Experience with the following data analysis techniques would be highly valuable: statistical significance testing, correlation analysis
- Experience with multivariate analysis techniques (such as cluster/segmentation analysis), conjoint and discrete choice analysis, and/or statistical packages, like SPSS or Q, are a plus
