About this role
BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis region. They are seeking an AI Engineer to create, optimize, and deploy AI models, integrate these models into applications, and stay current on AI technology and trends.
Responsibilities:
- Create, monitor, optimize, and deploy all types of AI models
- Collect, clean, prepare, and store data associated with training, testing, and output of AI models
- Integrate AI models with new and existing applications and reporting/analytic solutions
- Stay current on AI technology and trends, make recommendations on how to apply AI to solutions
- Understand business/functional requirements and convert them into AI applications/analytic solutions
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of traditional AI/ML concepts
- Hands-on experience in generative AI technologies
- Experience fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)
- Developing AI agents
- Working with frameworks such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tools
- Integrating AI models from various environments into existing BI tools
- Delivering AI-enhanced visualizations and actionable insights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence
- 2-5 years of experience
- AI Certification
