Hexagon is the global leader in enterprise software, empowering organizations to build a safer, more sustainable and efficient future. They are seeking an Acceptance Testing Engineer to ensure the quality of their global Public Safety software, including the HxGN OnCall application suite, by coordinating QA testing activities and creating detailed test plans and test cases.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, plan, and coordinate QA testing activities
- Review requirements, specifications, and functional design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs
- Collaboration with internal teams (e.g., developers & product managers) to identify testing requirements
- Review logs using debugging process results
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a Windows 11 environment, leveraging Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to support quality assurance workflows, including documentation, defect tracking, data analysis, and reporting
- Familiarity with system navigation, file management, and integration of Office tools with QA platforms such as Azure DevOps is preferred
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or a proven related technical discipline. Equivalent work experience may be accepted
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manual software quality assurance testing is required
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies
- The ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Self-motivated, independent, and effective team contributor
- Ability to step up in a fast-paced environment and be accountable
- Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communications skills
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
- Willingness to learn new technologies and enhance skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a Windows 11 environment, leveraging Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to support quality assurance workflows, including documentation, defect tracking, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience in a Public Safety Communications Center is highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of browser development tools
- Experience in Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and PaaS & SaaS
- Familiar with Agile Scrum Methodology
- Applied knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio and SQL scripting
- Experience with Playwright automated testing tools
