NXP Semiconductors is a leader in the semiconductor industry, and they are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in UHF RFID and NFC technologies across various verticals. The role involves developing new markets, engaging with customers to build a design-win pipeline, and influencing the ecosystem to drive adoption of their product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the go-to-market strategy for target verticals described by the product line
- Win sockets in end user pilots and at lighthouse projects
- Expand our share at inlay customers, converters and end users
- Build relationships and partner with other value chain players (tag manufacturers, reader OEMs, systems integrators) to win projects
- Capture voice-of-customer to inform product line about market requirements. Translate customer needs into solution requirements, influencing product roadmaps and reference designs
- Own design-win forecast and deliver on Design win targets
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and standards bodies; deliver demos and talks
Requirements:
- X+ years of Business Development / Commercial experience (solution selling, partner management, enterprise account growth)
- UHF RFID expertise: Either direct experience in UHF RFID (tags, readers, ICs, middleware, end-to-end solutions), or from an end user that has deployed UHF RFID at scale, or coming from the competition (RFID tag IC vendors, tag/reader OEMs, or solution providers, distributor)
- NFC expertise: Either direct experience in NFC (tags, readers, ICs, middleware, end-to-end solutions), or from an end user that has deployed NFC at scale, or coming from the competition (RFID tag IC vendors, tag/reader OEMs, or solution providers, distributor)
- Proven track record of creating qualified DW pipeline
- Experience in one or more verticals: retail, logistics, industrial manufacturing, apparel, healthcare, or automotive
- Knowledge of physics basics for UHF (read range variables, materials, tagging best practices)
- Familiarity with RFID standards (GS1 EPC Gen2), NFC standard (NFC Forum, ISO14443, ISO/IES 18092), Security Standard
