Vexra Engineering is seeking Test Interns to collaborate with engineers and industry professionals in developing and validating hardware and firmware solutions. This role offers hands-on experience and contributions to meaningful projects that enhance industrial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test requirements and execute hardware verification test plans for board-level functional testing, EMC validation, Certification Agency compliance (UL, ATEX, IECEx), and Functional Safety (IEC 61508)
- Program, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypes
- Contribute to product design documentation and test reports
- Designing and developing automated test scripts
- Documenting and executing test procedures (manual and automated)
- Generating test reports
- Supporting lab audits and improvements
- Assisting with the build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
- Basic programming skills in C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or LabVIEW
- Fundamental knowledge of circuit theory, including microprocessors, digital logic, analog systems, and DC power conversion
- Familiarity with programmable devices such as CPLDs and FPGAs
- Experience with power electronics or motor systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings
- Experience with design and modeling tools such as CAD, Creo Parametric, ERP systems, SAP, MATLAB, and 3D modeling software
- Exposure to industrial automation environments, including PLC or drive programming
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies
