Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging. They are seeking a Controls Engineer III who will be responsible for all phases of control system design and implementation, providing technical support, and collaborating with other engineers to enhance design efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all phases of control system design and implementation within an appropriate scope of work, timeframe, and cost structure
- Maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and electrical controls programs that comply with established Evergreen and industry standards
- Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturing efficiency and lowest warranty
- Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, change requests and non-conformances for assigned product lines
- Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required in support of assigned product lines
- Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes
- Complete all phases of the assigned accountabilities to a successful conclusion within the projected scope, timeframe, and budget
- Collaborate with fellow Controls and Mechanical engineers
- Provide a reasonable amount of support and training for lower-level staff and coordinate a portion of their work through others
Requirements:
- Degreed Engineer (preferably electrical, will consider mechanical or chemical)
- 5-10 years of professional experience in Rockwell Allen-Bradley Controls Platforms
- Design experience with Servo System is desired
- Proficient with CAD. AutoCad or SolidWorks is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to travel up to 30% and often with short notice
