Ferrovias is a company focused on bringing the Connected Enterprise to life, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern. The role will involve modeling, lab testing, prototype evaluation, and small design projects related to mechanical or electrical hardware, providing a comprehensive exposure to the company's business structure.
Responsibilities:
- This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects
- Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development
- You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of the company and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life
- Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our company culture
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be enrolled for at least one semester after the internship concludes
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
- Experience with CAD modeling and 3-D printing
- Interest and experience with simulation
- Basic computer programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
- Previous experience with Industrial Automation products
- Experience using Agile methodology
