Senior Test Engineer (Nuclear)

RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is an Energy Technology company seeking a Senior Test Engineer to coordinate the testing of High Voltage Power Transformers. The role involves ensuring compliance with customer requirements by adhering to test procedures, reporting defects, and maintaining safety standards during testing.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise in testing Power Transformers to national and international standards
• Plan test schematic diagrams for testing including switching operations
• Adhere strictly to test procedures and instructions
• Report test equipment defects before use
• Report test non-conformances to the Test Manager
• Maintain a high standard of safety at all times
• Record all test results accurately
• Review and analyze test results prior to filing
• Develop test skill levels through career development and active learning
• Maintain test equipment in line with business strategy
• Minimize product and equipment risk through planning and monitoring
• Ensure effective use of historical test data and lessons learned when planning test circuits
• Methodically analyze test problems through diagnostic testing
• Liaise with customer inspectors and auditors to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the development of test engineers

Requirements:

• Proven track record operating in the electrical field, either testing transformers or working experience in and around substations
• HNC in a relevant electrical or engineering discipline or demonstrable practical experience
• Good knowledge and experience of testing, switching operations, and substation configurations
• Good knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules and their interpretation
• Conduct oneself with authority and confidence
• High Voltage test or Transformer Test experience is highly desirable
