RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Senior Piping Analysis Engineer to join their Mechanical Analysis team. This role involves performing analyses on reactor systems and components, ensuring performance and regulatory compliance while collaborating with various engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Understand, define, and analyze piping and pipe supports to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Utilize technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and deliver customer-focused outcomes
- Collaborate across the organization to develop technical solutions and communicate work status effectively
- Provide leadership and technical direction to personnel and assigned projects
- Support procurement and subcontract activities as needed
- Represent the organization at industry forums such as ASME meetings
- Maintain and develop technical design procedures related to piping and pipe support analysis
- Deliver high-quality engineering analyses and engage customers to define scope, review results, and discuss risks
- Liaise with customers in partnership with engineering leadership and project management
- Interface with cross-functional teams to complete assigned activities
- Improve project execution through Lean methodology and Design-to-Cost principles
- Provide complete analysis documentation in accordance with engineering procedures, typically in the form of formal engineering reports
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers
- Perform and support analyses of additional mechanical components and structures as required
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (other disciplines may be considered based on experience)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in piping and/or pipe supports design and analysis
- Preferred work location is Wilmington, NC; highly qualified remote U.S.-based candidates will be considered
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
