As a Principal Product Manager for IAP+, you'll be at the forefront of a groundbreaking transformation in how developers monetize their games, leading the evolution of Unity's in-app purchasing system and collaborating with multi-functional teams to implement a cohesive platform experience.
Responsibilities:
- Help build the product strategy and roadmap for IAP+, focusing on the critical transition from app-based to web-based transactions while maintaining seamless multi-platform support
- Define and reach important metrics that demonstrate value for developers, including transaction success rates, integration efficiency, and revenue optimization across app and web channels
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams across engineering, design, and business development to implement a cohesive platform experience that serves developers and players
- Partner with key decision makers to align IAP+ with Unity's broader platform vision, ensuring tight integration with Unity Engine, Vector, and analytics capabilities
- Champion player-first solutions by gathering insights from developers and end users, translating feedback into features that solve real monetization challenges
Requirements:
- Proven track record of shipping successful payment or commerce products at scale, with measurable impact on revenue and user experience
- Deep understanding of payment systems, including app store billing (Google Play, Apple App Store) and web-based payment flows, with experience in AdTech or monetization ecosystems
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence technical and business audiences
- Demonstrated critical thinking abilities to navigate complex platform ecosystems and identify innovative solutions
- Data-driven approach to product decisions, with ability to define and track important metrics that drive results
