Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Software Quality Engineer Advisor to lead the development and execution of software quality methods and processes. The role involves developing and executing software tests for UI-centric applications and back-end services, as well as transforming manual tests into automated scripts and improving testing efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, executes, and document software test ui centric applications as well as back-end services using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications
- Assists with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts
- Presents progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams
- Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques
- Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches while staying current on new technologies and best practices
- Setups/configures/maintains automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting and troubleshoots issues down to root cause
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent
- Five (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment
- General knowledge of hardware, software, and network
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering and/or testing roles
- 3+ years of experience leading the QA testing efforts/teams for large scale enterprise system/initiatives, including contractors or vendor-managed teams
- Hands-on knowledge of test automation and continuous testing frameworks
- Proven project leadership and solid track record of prior enterprise projects
- Experience coordinating/governing testing efforts for large-scale enterprise programs spanning Portfolios and multiple Agile Release Trains
- Strong understanding of SAFe / Agile Release Train (ART) concepts
- Expertise in test strategy, test planning, and enterprise-level quality governance
- Experience with defect management and test management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
