Reddit, Inc. is a community-driven platform that fosters open and authentic conversations. They are seeking an iOS Software Engineer to enhance the Machine Translation Experience team, which focuses on making Reddit accessible to users regardless of language through efficient content translation.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in iOS engineering and the Swift programming language, with at least 3 years of experience in software development (IC3 level)
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, specifically in SwiftUI, networking, performance profiling, and GraphQL integration
- A willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps, with a specific focus on localization correctness, RTL support, and accessibility
- An openness to explore innovative approaches to software development, including ownership of medium-sized features end-to-end—from scoping and architectural proposals to testing and instrumenting metrics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively resolve ambiguities, drive quality via code reviews, and communicate technical trade-offs and risks clearly
