Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js) - Platform

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale. They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of their hosted and on-premise offerings, focusing on implementing complex technical solutions in the Alerting and Reporting Engines area.

Responsibilities:

• You will contribute to the development of our hosted and on-premise offerings
• You'll be part of a close-knit team of phenomenal engineers who mentor, support, and challenge each other
• You will implement technical solutions that underpin Kibana Alerting and Reporting success and the Observability and Security solutions, while collaborating with other Operations, Engineering, and Documentation teams
• Assist in delivering and supporting a highly scalable cloud offering
• Work on a codebase that consists primarily of APIs and server-side frameworks

Requirements:

• 12+ years of backend design & development experience
• Seasoned and confident engineer with JavaScript, Typescript, and Node.js
• Experience with platform and SaaS engineering
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience
• Ability to work with a worldwide team in a distributed work environment
• Passionate about JavaScript or web development in general
