Senior LIMS Software Engineer - Remote

Kforce Inc is working with a well-known client in search of a Senior LIMS Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing and developing enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) functionality that supports critical laboratory workflows and business processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop front-end and back-end solutions within StarLIMS v12 environments
• Build integrations with enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and middleware
• Create and optimize reports and dashboards using tools like Advanced Analytics and Crystal Reports
• Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and SMEs to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Provide technical support for validation, troubleshooting, and production systems
• Maintain detailed technical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage tasks in Jira and Confluence, ensuring timely updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related STEM field; Master's degree is a plus
• 5+ years of hands-on LIMS development experience (not administrative)
• Strong SQL skills and experience managing large relational databases
• Expertise in enterprise system integration (REST APIs, web services)
• Proven track record implementing LIMS in regulated environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Extensive experience with StarLIMS v12 and its technology layers
• Experience with Advanced Analytics dashboards and Crystal Reports
• Familiarity with NGS instrumentation and workflows
• Proficiency in StarLIMS scripting, HTML5, Jscript, and SQL
