The Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for Prisma AIRS will develop technical marketing strategies for AI security products, create impactful technical assets, and collaborate with various teams to influence product strategy and market execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and execute the comprehensive technical marketing plan for AI security products
- Create, maintain, and deliver impactful technical assets, including whitepapers, demos, videos, and training for sales, customers, and partners
- Lead competitive research and testing to identify key product advantages, and effectively communicate these findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a primary technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, presenting at conferences, seminars, and high-level customer briefings
- Proactively collaborate with engineering and product management to identify and address product gaps based on competitive analysis and customer feedback
- Serve as the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products, providing expert guidance to Systems Engineers on competitive positioning
- Document complex technical concepts to ensure products are well-understood and utilized to their fullest potential
- Establish and maintain a competitive test lab, including test harnesses, competitive products, and automation environments
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, DevOps/Solution Architect, or a similar role within the network or cybersecurity industry
- Demonstrated experience with automation tools, building dashboards, and using Kubernetes and Python
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience presenting at industry events or trade shows
- Direct experience with networking or data security products
- Experience writing and editing technical documentation and operational procedures for a technical audience
- Proven ability to quickly learn and experiment with new technologies and products
- Strong customer advocacy skills with experience navigating and resolving difficult customer situations
- A fast learner with strong initiative, a sense of ownership, and a drive to get things done in a cross-functional environment
