Menlo Security Inc. is dedicated to enabling secure connections and collaborations globally. They are seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to support their Product vision by creating technical content, building product positioning, and enabling sales through effective documentation and training.
Responsibilities:
- Create technical product content (videos, podcasts, presentations, white papers, guides, documentation, videos) that highlight the Menlo value proposition to technical audiences and to support the customer lifecycle
- Connect customer needs and tech trends to Menlo’s products to build technical product positioning and messages for key use cases
- Build technical documentation for customers, assist with technical RFPs, and respond to technical customer inquiries
- Build a lab for competitive analysis, developing demos and content, validating integrations, and evaluating new technologies
- Train the field on technical features and functionality and the competitive landscape
- Publishing technical content on a periodic basis that highlights new features, capabilities, and use cases to help drive thought leadership, accelerate motion through the opportunity funnel, and support field events
- Maintain up-to-date and thorough knowledge of cybersecurity industry trends, technologies and competitors
- Partnering to support successful enablement of the customer facing organization
- Generate a substantial rise in qualified leads and opportunities through engaging technical content and targeted campaigns
- Increase the rate of leads qualified for sales engagement by a demonstrable percentage
- Boost social media engagement (likes, shares, comments) on technical content to a noticeable degree
Requirements:
- 5+ years of security technical product marketing, product management, sales engineering (or similar) experience
- Expertise at understanding customers and their needs and developing crisp content that resonates with target audiences
- An analytical mindset with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts
- Deep insight into the contemporary threat landscape, including, browser technologies, phishing, malware, APTs, vulnerabilities, mobile security, and more
- Knowledge of web technologies, public cloud computing, data center, virtualization, networking, storage, databases technologies, and working with cloud primitives is highly desired
- Technical knowledge of the following: networking, cloud deployments and administration, web security, SSO, SIEM, proxy chaining, CASB, and firewalls
- Communication skills that inspire, educate, persuade, and sell, both internal and external audiences
- Bachelor's degree ideal, but not required
