About this role
Aldevron is a company dedicated to advancing life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology. The Senior Product Manager – Innovation will support and lead product initiatives that drive growth in the DNA portfolio, identifying customer needs and managing innovation projects through the stage gate process.
Responsibilities:
- Identify unmet customer needs in relevant market segments and develop new product/service concepts in partnership with R&D to meet these needs, utilizing market trends and leveraging new technological advances
- Manage innovation projects through the stage gate process, including producing robust business cases with clear success criteria for launch
- Maintain strong customer and market insights in partnership with the Strategy team through qualitative/quantitative research and customer engagement, including regular analysis of trends, competitors, channels, and standards to inform next projects to bring through the stage gate process
- Manage and prioritize innovation opportunities for the Business Unit in partnership with the R&D and Strategy teams
- Collaborate with Commercial Product Management to support go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches
Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. required
- Experience managing projects and contracts in a regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device-related field is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to forecast risks and implement sustainable solutions
- Strong cell and gene therapy and life science industry understanding
- Advanced degree in a scientific field strongly preferred (e.g. molecular biology, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry)
- 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role as a project, program, or account manager within the life sciences, with preference for 3+ years in a CDMO environment
- Demonstrated success with stage gate processes
- Deployment and utilization of customer and market insight frameworks
- Strong analytical background
- Proven ability to solve complex problems independently with a solution-oriented mindset
