EquipmentShare is a company on a mission to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. They are seeking an Analytics Engineer for their People Analytics team to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and support various HR and finance analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop SQL and Python pipelines extracting and transforming data from Workday, LMS, Qualtrics, and email inboxes via Fivetran
- Maintain Snowflake/dbt data models, views, tasks, and transformations
- Monitor pipelines, implement automated testing, and proactively resolve data quality or workflow issues
- Build dashboards and analytics solutions using internal tools (e.g., Looker)
- Codify business rules into models, transformations, and automated testing frameworks
- Support day-to-day reporting and analytics, reducing complexity in accessing and querying cross-functional data
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data structures to support People Analytics initiatives
- Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and other analytics teams to deliver structured, secure, and reliable data solutions
- Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and AI/LLM-driven projects, such as chatbots and workflow automation
- Establish execution plans from start to finish for data initiatives and ensure successful implementation
- Take strong ownership of data quality, integrity, and operational reliability across analytics pipelines

- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, information technology, or a related field
- At least 4 years of SQL experience, creating complex queries and scalable ETL solutions
- At least 3 years of Python experience, building and automating data pipelines and processes
- At least 2 years of experience in data modeling, including building production-ready data structures and transformations
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or similar data warehousing and modeling platforms
- Experience developing test automation and workflow orchestration using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins
- Experience reporting and querying cross-functional HR, People Analytics, or operational data
- Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and modern data engineering tools, operating in a managed DevOps framework with primary responsibility for the application and data layer
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times
- Knowledge of payroll and benefit modules preferred
