About this role
Aimhire's client is an open AI routing and infrastructure layer that enterprises use to access and optimize large language models. They are seeking a Security Engineer to safeguard systems and build security operations for a high-traffic AI gateway platform, collaborating closely with engineering and leadership to enhance security measures.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and operate vulnerability scanning across cloud infrastructure
- Triage findings and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Lead security assessments (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA audits)
- Maintain vulnerability and remediation documentation
- Partner across product, engineering, compliance, and GTM teams to prioritize security initiatives
- Conduct penetration testing, tabletop exercises, DR testing, and incident response
- Manage endpoint security tooling and maintain audit visibility across the stack
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations
- Strong expertise in cloud security and cloud-hosted environments
- Comfortable working in compliance-heavy environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Panther)
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7)
- AI-forward mindset with hands-on adoption of AI tools
- Startup-oriented and comfortable building security programs from scratch
- Pragmatic and business-driven approach to security
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or inference platforms
- Automation and scripting (Python preferred)
- Healthcare data handling or BAA compliance experience
