Mechanical Design Engineer III

US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III to execute finite element analyses and CAD modeling, support automation tasks, and collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys
• Perform typical post processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, summarize bolted joint behavior, strength evaluations, etc
• Pull CAD models from PLM
• Work CAD models in Siemens NX
• Summarize and document analytical results
• Support automation of typical tasks with Python as needed
• Support defect evaluation through analysis
• Present on routine project status meetings
• Strong communication skills
• Highly collaborative and works well in team environment

Requirements:

• 3D Cad Modeling
• ANSYS Finite Element Analysis
• Fracture Mechanics Analysis
• Low Cycle Fatigue
• Microsoft Office
• Rotor Design
• Siemens NX
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong communication skills
• Highly collaborative and works well in team environment
• Python Automation
