Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Kadence is a fast-growing voice AI startup building human-like AI agents that handle sales, support, and logistics calls at scale. The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will own model performance from training to deployment, fine-tune models, and design evaluation datasets while collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Own model performance end to end from training pipelines through post deployment monitoring in real world systems
• Fine tune large language models and audio models for real time, production grade voice AI use cases
• Design evaluation datasets, define rigorous metrics, and benchmark model performance across high impact tasks
• Deploy models into latency sensitive, high traffic environments and ensure reliability at scale
• Build systems to monitor live model performance, diagnose issues, and drive continuous improvements
• Develop scalable pipelines for structured human evaluation and integrate feedback into model iteration
• Partner closely with engineering to productionize models and improve inference speed and efficiency
• Design and maintain ML infrastructure that enables rapid experimentation, robust training, and continuous deployment
• Contribute to technical direction and ML strategy as an early member of a high ownership team

Requirements:

• Proven experience training, shipping, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch
• Experience building training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and performance benchmarks
• Ability to balance research quality with practical production constraints
• Hands on experience with large language models, speech models, or audio related ML systems strongly preferred
• Familiarity with deploying models in real time or latency sensitive systems is a major plus
