Avaya is an enterprise software leader that helps the world’s largest organizations and government agencies forge unbreakable connections. They are seeking a results-driven DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to design, automate, and secure cloud infrastructure across Azure environments, working cross-functionally with engineering, security, and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform and Ansible modules for Azure infrastructure
- Enforce configuration standards and policy-as-code practices
- Architect and manage scalable, secure Azure environments (AKS, App Gateway, VNets, NSGs, Key Vault, Managed Identities)
- Implement governance, cost optimization, and compliance controls across subscriptions
- Build and optimize Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across environments
- Implement blue/green, canary, and rollback deployment strategies with observability and alerting
- Integrate vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows
- Manage secrets, certificates, and key management using secure vault solutions
- Collaborate with security teams to align infrastructure with FedRAMP/FIPS/ISO/PCI standards
- Implement proactive monitoring using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics
- Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets aligned with business objectives
- Partner with product and engineering teams in agile ceremonies to plan, deliver, and continuously improve
- Participate in release management, sprint planning, retrospectives, and post-incident reviews
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering
- Proven expertise in Azure cloud architecture and automation
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
- Familiarity with security frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS Benchmarks)
- Experience with container security, image scanning, and supply chain security
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, network, and application layers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on accountability and delivery
